James A. Hennessey, Jr., Director

Brookline Basketball Program offers boys and girls the opportunity to improve their individual playing skills and basic techniques in basketball in a supportive and challenging atmosphere. Each day's activities will include a thorough conditioning workout: practice dribbling, passing, shooting, and rebounding; lessons in offensive and defensive strategies; and teamwork skills in collaboration and sports etiquette. Off the court, participants will view action films, learn how to diagram plays, and enjoy visits from special guests.

Students up to age 12 who want a full day of activity can join Active Afternoons for an additional fee of $191 for two weeks or $356 for four weeks.

James Hennessey has been a physical education instructor and basketball coach at Driscoll School in Brookline since 1965. He was Boy's Junior Varsity Basketball Coach at Brookline High from 1960-1981.
Mr. Hennessey will be assisted by a professional staff of male and female physical education teachers and coaches from the public schools.
