Action Science From catapults to electric pickles, this program is designed for children who like a challenge. Explore the world of everyday physical science in active and hands-on activities that encourage students to discover for themselves how and why things work the way they do. As a team, using trial and error methods, we’ll tackle one big project each week. We’ll also work individually and in small groups on an array of smaller challenges that relate to the weekly theme. In a playful and supportive environment students will perform experiments, research topics, build models, play games, and act out ideas. Outdoor fun and field games, free choice time, and swimming will be part of our program. |
Active Afternoons Students will be led by an experienced and responsible staff in a range of indoor and outdoor activities aimed at building skills in teamwork and pride. Our afternoons will begin with a swim or recess game. Afterwards, we’ll build sculptures, create large-scale artwork, play games, produce short films, and prepare for a grande finale event. Group projects and activities will be balanced with focused individual time. Arrangements can be made for late arrivals. Transportation is not provided.
