A Message from the Director
Winter is upon us once again. Days are shorter and skies are greyer, temperatures are dropping, crackling fires, in-door activities, sipping hot
chocolate, and ice skating are seasonal favorites, and New England is soon to be blanketed in white. If winter is just too long and you are going stir-crazy waiting for
spring, then beat the winter blahs with Brookline Adult & Community Education. Making a New Year's resolution to learn something new, get in shape, or eat healthier?
We've got the course to get you off to a good start Red Sox enthusiasts, test your knowledge of the game and players. Relax and learn valuable stress management
techniques from a best-selling author. Try bootcamp or breakdancing to reenergize and keep you moving. Increase your baking repertoire with crpes and croissants.
Take comfort in pot pies or hearty soups. Relive your childhood with hula hooping and modern fairy tales. Learn how to become a volunteer and make a difference
in the world. Team up with your favorite child and have fun making candy and chocolate desserts. Express your creativity with a drawing or painting class.
Whatever your interests, this is a great time to enjoy any one of the hundreds of classes currently offered in our winter catalog. Winter is also the most
magical time of the year with the holidays approaching. In celebration, we've planned a number of baking classes we hope you enjoy, including Building a
Gingerbread House, Holiday Roasts, Christmas Desserts From Italy, Mastering the Art of Holiday Baking, and Truffles and Chocolates. To avoid the last minute
rush, (and to avoid being closed out of the course of your choice), we recommend that you register before the holidays. Here's wishing everyone a happy, healthy,
and prosperous 2010! Claudia Dell'Anno, Director
