More and more people worldwide are adopting the macrobiotic approach: eating whole grains, beans, vegetables, and fruits prepared naturally and without artificial additives. Even stricter than a vegetarian diet, a vegan ethic of eating excludes all animal products, including butter, milk, yogurt, honey, eggs, and gelatin. Learn how you can incorporate a macrobiotic and vegan diet into your lifestyle with recipes that are cooked without dairy and refined sugar. We'll learn new recipes and how to prepare dishes such as Sephardic Red Lentil Soup, Ethiopian Vegetable Stew, Sweet and Sour Braised Tempeh, Sesame Tofu, Creamy Cauliflower Bisque with Pumpkin Pesto, and Soba Noodles with Ginger and Green Onions. We'll enjoy desserts made with brown rice syrup or maple syrup including Apple Crisp and Berry Pie. A $30 food fee is included in the course fee.

Please note: Some courses may have an additional materials fee payable to the instructor that is not included in the total fee. Please contact the school for details.

Please be sure to read our Refund, Transfer, and Withdrawal policy before registering for a class.

A $6 registration fee is charged once per person per semester. This fee helps fund scholarships so that all can participate. The fee does not apply to courses of $15 or less.
