This course is for students who want to feel more comfortable speaking English and who need an intensive review of intermediate grammar and vocabulary before taking advanced level courses. You will work on improving silent and oral reading ability, comprehension, and writing skills. We will review resume and cover letter writing, and talk about interesting subjects in the news and around the world. Grammar topics we will review may include present perfect, present perfect continuous, present (If I were rich, I would move to Hawaii) and past (If he had studied, he would have passed the test) conditional, and gerunds and infinitives. The required textbook is available at the Brookline Booksmith.

Please note: Some courses may have an additional materials fee payable to the instructor that is not included in the total fee. Please contact the school for details.

Please be sure to read our Refund, Transfer, and Withdrawal policy before registering for a class.

A $6 registration fee is charged once per person per semester. This fee helps fund scholarships so that all can participate. The fee does not apply to courses of $15 or less.
