Experience the enjoyment of expressing yourself through music by discovering your singing voice. Beginning with group vocal exercises, you will move to individual or solo singing. Each singer will explore the range, agility, and timbre of his or her voice. We will work on proper tone production, breathing, and posture. Students and the instructor will choose the vocal repertoire so that all aspects of vocal technique and musical interpretation can be applied to specific songs. Our emphasis will be on traditional jazz standards to more contemporary show or pop tunes. So let go of your inhibitions about singing. Join us and become better at communicating with your voice. Beyond Beginner is for those who have some singing experience and who want to continue learning about performance and vocal techniques.

Please note: Some courses may have an additional materials fee payable to the instructor that is not included in the total fee. Please contact the school for details.

Please be sure to read our Refund, Transfer, and Withdrawal policy before registering for a class.

A $6 registration fee is charged once per person per semester. This fee helps fund scholarships so that all can participate. The fee does not apply to courses of $15 or less.
