Have you always wanted to play the violin, or have you played in the past and want to pick it up again? If so, this beginning violin course will give you the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of playing this marvelous stringed instrument in a stress-free environment. We will learn how to play music in the most efficient way, how to read musical notes, and even create our own pieces. You will learn about proper posture, intonation (playing in tune), recognition of intervals, and the function of a major scale. In Beyond Beginner, we will improve our beginning violin skills. Please bring your violin to class. Violin rental and supply information will be mailed upon registration.

A $6 registration fee is charged once per person per semester. This fee helps fund scholarships so that all can participate. The fee does not apply to courses of $15 or less.
