If you have always wanted to learn to play the piano, why not start now? In the Beginner course you will learn how to read musical notation and will become acquainted with basic piano techniques. You will learn to play melodies with chord accompaniments, scales, and intervals. By the end of the course you will be able to play simple popular and classical piano pieces. The Beyond Beginner course is for those with some piano playing experience. We will focus on major scales, primary chords, more complicated rhythms, and linear accompaniments with the left hand. Each student will have a keyboard on which to work in class. The required text, Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course: Lesson Book, Level One/2236, is available at most music stores. Please bring a set of headphones with 1/4 jacks, suitable for a personal cassette recorder, to class. Access to a piano or keyboard for practice is required.

Please note: Some courses may have an additional materials fee payable to the instructor that is not included in the total fee. Please contact the school for details.

Please be sure to read our Refund, Transfer, and Withdrawal policy before registering for a class.

A $6 registration fee is charged once per person per semester. This fee helps fund scholarships so that all can participate. The fee does not apply to courses of $15 or less.
