This semester we'll think about the risks and pleasures of crossing borders, both geographical and metaphorical. We'll read (not necessarily in this order): Aravind Adiga's The White Tiger; Monica Ali's Alentejo Blue; Joseph Boyden's Three-Day Road; Maxine Hong Kingston's The Woman Warrior; Alice Munro's The View From Castle Rock; S. Shankar's A Map of Where I Live; and A. B. (Abraham) Yehoshua's The Liberated Bride. Please read A Map Of Where I Live for our first class. All titles are available at the Brookline Booksmith.

Please note: Some courses may have an additional materials fee payable to the instructor that is not included in the total fee. Please contact the school for details.

Please be sure to read our Refund, Transfer, and Withdrawal policy before registering for a class.

A $6 registration fee is charged once per person per semester. This fee helps fund scholarships so that all can participate. The fee does not apply to courses of $15 or less.
